Solution Architect (gn)

team: Business IT / internal IT of SoftwareOne | pensum: full time | location: EMEA / remote option

The main responsibility:

• 80% Architecture (50% Applications, 40% Process Design, 10% Infrastructure)
• 20% Value Management /Product Ownership

The key responsibility:

• You create suitable software designs, definition of interfaces and description of the dynamic behavior as well as the resource use of the software.
• You design and implement a loosely connected microservice architecture to synchronize, publish and deliver the data from our core business applications.
• You drive the development of our software systems in the direction of this vision / strategy.
• You continuously improve the architecture for a scalable and modular distributed software system, based on the domain driven design approach.
• You constantly observe and evaluate new software architectures, technologies, methods, tools and strategies to improve efficiency and reusability.
• You take over necessary Product Owner tasks and advise the Product Manager.

The surroundings:

• You are part of multiple self-organizing End2End delivery teams with an agile delivery approach focused on clear business outcomes.

The stakeholder:

• You will work closely with Product Manager and the development teams.

Peter Lorenz is located in the near of Leipzig and will be the disciplinary leader for this role. Peter started his career as Systems Architect of Comparex (later merged to SoftwareOne) in 1997. your experience & knowledge

• Experience with common design patterns of event-driven architecture and the principles of domain driven design
• Expertise in the evaluation and creation of distributed software architectures with current frameworks or libraries in the Microsoft ecosystem
• Excellent knowledge of UML, object-oriented programming, C #, Web API and best practices in microservice development in a Microsoft technology-oriented environment, including Azure FaaS / PaaS, are important
• Good understanding of meaningful unit tests, code reviews and CI / CD in order to achieve the required quality level
• User of "clean code" practices and test-driven development styles
• Well versed in domain modeling to develop elegant solutions for complex customer requirements
